A view east from Seaford Head across Cuckmere Haven at the rising chalk cliffs of the Seven Sisters and the estuary of the Cuckmere River in East Sussex, England. The coastguard cottages can be seen perched on the very cliff edge. They were built in the 1830's and some way back from the cliff edge. But the sea has slowly eroded the cliffs and they are now very close to the edge and pebble beach. There is a concrete retaining wall in front of them and a couple are still inhabited.
